One of the best books I've ever read on starting a business (and I've pretty much read them all...). Contains great practical advice for entrepreneurs and I think the philosophy he espouses is spot on. He takes the (realistic) view that everything about starting a business is tough. There are no easy ways out but there are ways of doing things that are likely to be more effective. Engaging throughout, with lots of funny anecdotes. I only wish I'd read this one earlier!

I will keep it short.I have a product/idea, but I'm new to marketing, trading and anything involved in running a business.This book provides me with an "easy to digest" useful informations starting from "evaluating" my idea, principles of marketing, branding, selling and even how to reach for help if needed (and explaining which type of "help" to avoid).The best analogy is learning a foreign language. You can think that you know it, because you speak it and understand what people talk to you. But it is very likely you will fail in aiming for any professional job, if you don't understand basic grammar rules. This book is a Basic - Intermediate to Advanced level guide to Starting a new Business. Basic because explains the simplest rules, intermediate, because can be applied to already existing companies and advanced because is written by person with tens of years of experience in the part of the seas you're about to dive in into. He will teach you not only how to use a breathing mask, how to swim, but also which fish is venomous (and how to avoid them) as well as give you directions how to get to the real treasures of the sea (that is still analogy). You will find here professional advice, a lot of real-life examples of succeed and failed starters, detailed suggestions of action plans and much, MUCH more.I value it even more because english is not my first language and I still can follow Guy's "simple" language describing complex topics. It looks like this book was written for international readers, not just fluently speaking english businessmen (I must admit that kindle features, such as build in dictionary, help a lot as well).I'd like to also add that eBook is packed with hyperlinks, so you can use them to better understand topic you are in.My next book will be "The Art of social Media" - how to use free social platform for marketing my business.Kind RegardsPawel Niksa
